The Good Hope
Youth Football Association is a non-profit organization created with the
purpose of teaching the basic rules and activities of football and cheerleading
– stressing citizenship and sportsmanship. We were organized to build, support,
promote and operate youth activity.

The all-call program is our primary way to get in touch with you.
Please be mindful of the number you give us. Make sure you give us the number
to the person that will be responsible for getting your children to practice
and games. If your child primarily relies on both parents, and it is impossible
for you to communicate with each other, please make us aware of the situation.
So that possibly an exception can be made and your child may have two “ALL
CALL” phone numbers. Your child showing up at practice instills
in them responsibility. If you have your cell phone listed as your all call
number you can Text to the number 22300 and then the word ALERT and it will opt
you in for TEXT Messages.
The
Good Hope Youth Football Association is a parent organization with many volunteer roles such as officers, coaches,
cheer sponsors, working the concession stand, running the chains, running the
gate, cleaning up the fields after practice and games, and much more. Anyone
that is interested in helping out in any of these areas is urged to call one of
the above officers to let them know you would like to help. It takes contribution from everyone to make
this program a success and that is our goal for this year and every year to
come.
Important Dates to
Remember
Cheer CAMP will be 7-23-12, 7-24-12 and 7-26-12 from
5:30-7:30 PM at High School Gym (Thursday Night the girls will have a
showcase for their parents at 7:00)
Majorette CAMP will be 7-23-12, 7-24-12, 7-26-12 and
possibly 7-27-12 from 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM at Grassy Area by the High School Gym.
Majorette’s will not start practicing until 8-6-12 from
6-8PM.
Practice days will begin on 8-2-12 from 6-8 PM. Majorette’s will begin on 8-6-12. This will be at the Town Hall
Baseball Fields. Again we are VERY
lucky to be able to use this facility. Please respect the property of Good Hope
and help the Youth keep a good name by keeping this area clean. We always like
to leave this place CLEANER than we found it!! Practices will be Mon., Tues. & Thurs. from 6-8 PM until
games begin and after 8-25-12 we will only practice on Tuesday and Thursday
from 6-8 PM. All practices will be at
the Good Hope baseball fields by the town hall. Occasionally we will have to
adjust dates due to School functions so this is not written in stone. Please
make sure your all call number is correct.
Picture DAY will 8-12-12 at 1:00 PM. More info on times to be there will be handed
out later. This was originally scheduled for 8-18-12 but due to the Jamboree Games
it had to be rescheduled.
AD FORMS will be due this day. (NO EXCEPTIONS) We request all
cheerleaders, majorettes, and football players to sell one ¼ page AD. You can
buy it yourself or sell the AD. If you sell 5 ads you will get one of equal
value free.
Jamboree Games behind West Elementary School 8-17-12 and 8-18-12. Good Hope Teams will play on 8-18-12. Fireplugs 9:00 AM, Wee-Wee’s
10:00 AM, Pee-Wee’s 11:00 AM. Usually sponsors will request that you are there
an hour early but please check with your sponsor. Game times are approximate
except for Fireplug.
Kick Off Party at Cullman Aquatic Center 8-18-12 from 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. (This
was originally on 8-4-12 but Aquatic Center had overbooked.)
First Ball Game 8-25-12
This is our first ballgame and it is against Hanceville. Please invite your
friends and family out to support the youth of Good Hope. All home games are on
the High School Football Field. We are very fortunate to be able to use these
facilities so please make sure to clean up after yourself and your family.
Thank you for
